Melodie was created in December of 2008.  It is the second in a series to include five elements of a female’s silhouette within a busy abstraction:  her hair, neck, shoulders, back and a profile of one breast.  Melodie is heavy with acrylic ribbons of paint swirls that are the artist’s expressions of music.  Melodie is named as a play upon the word “melody” to relay that the female in this painting loves music and is innately graceful.  Within the painting is a hard copy of music notes associated with a symphonic song the artist likes for its lyrics and melody.
